Rules :

a) General Rule
  1. The competition is open to all students (Ideal & Non Ideal students) in schools (Std. 7th to 10th ) and college (F.Y.J.C. to T.Y.) from Mumbai Division
  2. College students should produce their valid I. Card of the College at the time of submitting forms
  3. Entry fees : College – Rs.100, School - Rs. 50 only (non-refundable)
    (for online registration fees to be paid on the date of event
  4. Decision of Ideal Foundation team and judges will be final and binding
  5. All rights are reserved with coordinators of competition
  6. If there are more than 25 participants, the competition will be held in two rounds.
  7. Last date of submission of forms is 15th Oct. 2011(Online registration – 72 hours before the event)
  8. Note that the forms should be properly and completely filled; leaving contact details and competition you are interested in. Forms not properly and completely filled in can be rejected.
  9. Forms can be filled up and submitted online or can be obtained and submitted at following centers of Ideal Classes.

b) Instruction and Rules for Individual Competition


i) Tabla Vadan

  1. Time allotment
  2. For School       - 5 minute For College      - 7 minute       We can provide an Artist for Lehara Accompanying otherwise partipants can bring his own.

ii) Marathi Elocution
  1. Elocution speech should be in Marathi
  2. In case of two rounds, second (final) round will be an extempore elocution
  3. Time allotment
  4. For School       - 5 minute For College      - 7 minute       For Final - Extempore – 3 min..

iii) Marathi Sugam Sangeet

  1. Participants can give four songs of his own choice (including Natya sangeet)
  2. In Preliminary round participants has to sing a song of judges choice out of the list given and in final he should sing another song suggested by the judges from remaining three songs.
  3. For accompany – only Tabla and Harmonium are allowed. The Foundation provides artists for accompanying otherwise participants are free to bring their artists at their own cost.
  4. No need to bring the instruments above. The foundation provides both the instruments.

iii) Marathi Sugam Sangeet

  1. Participants can give four songs of his own choice (including Natya sangeet)

v) Record Dance (Solo)

  1. Theme – Veer Raas or Viraha Raas or Bhakti Raas
  2. Time Allotment – 5 minute (for both school & college)
  3. Participants should bring cassettes or CD’s of the songs.
  4. Dance can be on song in Marathi / Hindi or Gujarati.
  5. Participant should bear all expenses of his assistants, makeup and dress material

vi) Group Song

  1. The song should be a patriotic Song
  2. It can be in Hindi or Marathi
  3. It should not be from a feature film (for School)
  4. The group should be of 3 to 5 participants
  5. The group should be from one school or college only. There can be maximum two groups from a school or college
  6. The artists to accompany should be brought by the group at their own cost.
  7. For accompany there can be Tabla, Dholak, Dholki, Harmonium and / or Synthesiser
  8. Instruments will not be provided by the FOUNDATION.
  9. Names of all participating singers should be provided along with their year of study on the Form.
  10. All college participants should produce valid I-Card at the time of the Event.
